Chestnut Brade Drive This was Banks's first pub in the city, opening on the 12th December 1984. The name was a result of a competition in the Coventry Citizen newspaper and was suggested by a theatre nurse at Walsgrave Hospital. In this case a cramp was an item of surgical equipment, although the sign has shown a sportsman's leg with cramp in the past. By 2011 it had been renamed CHESTNUT.
