In July 1966 the NUGGET was taken over by Coventry City Football Club and renamed the Sky Blue - the nickname of the Club, which had leased the pub from its owners, Mitchells and Butlers.
In December 1978 it was decided that the name Sky Blue had not caught on with the public, so it reverted to The Nuggett. | |||

In July 1966 the
