A local place name, the Whoberley opened in 1960. In 1985 Chris Arnott wrote 'one of those red brick post-war suburban pubs with an outdoor at the front and a rustic sign in the carpark'. Laterly it was named the MORRIS MEN, then in 1994 the WILDCROFT. It closed in 1996 and has been replaced with housing.
