Until 1850 this was the Old Harrow.
The location of the pub was sometimes described as being in Hertford Street with a back entrance to Warwick Lane.
This pub closed in May 1904, the contents auctioned, and the licence transferred to the new Golden Horse which opened in the newly built Smith Street on the 5th May 1904.
We have no idea about the reason for this name, which seems most popular in Coventry. | |||
